Games from Online League Season 2, Round 4

Below are links to 10 of the 28 games played on 22/04/2021.  Though many were drawn, they were reasonably interesting one way or another, though some ineptitude in the ending was painful to see for the spectator (and doubtless the players concerned).

Whereas the above games were reasonably keenly contested, the same cannot be said of Anthony Perry (Barnsley) ˝-˝ Geoff Frost (Nomads A), in division 1, on board 4.  Many decades ago, during a break in the S&DCA AGM held that year at Barnsley Chess Club, a group of supposedly stronger Association players (including the webmaster) were standing in a group, and it transpired that all had at some time suffered (to them embarrassing) loss at the hands of Tony Perry, who was not generally rated by them as serious opposition!  Thus the webmaster followed the Perry v Frost game in the hope the former would demolish the latter, so affording a game worth publishing.  Sadly this was not to be, and the game can be summarised as follows:

White: Anthony Perry (Barnsley)

Black: Geoff Frost (Nomads A)
