Harrogate’s Steve Wild, 5½, who lost to Ackley in the last round, finished fourth on tie-break ahead of Huddersfield’s Greg Eagleton, also 5½.

Former Moortown and York RI player Richard Allis, who led at the halfway stage, finished 20th on tie-break with 4½.
