Yorkshire Chess Association AGM, 2022

NCCU Delegates’ Report

The April 2021 meeting was held by Zoom, but the December AGM got deferred from December 2021 to spring of 2022.  Only two things of note, apart from routine stuff, arose from these meeting.

It fell to Yorkshire to nominate a candidate for the presidency of the NCCU from December 2021 to December 2023.  Rupert Jones was the original candidate Yorkshire was going to offer, but the deferred AGM decided to extend Tim Wall’s tenure or the post for another year, due to the year lost to Covid.  (Note, that means Yorkshire will be expected to nominate somebody to take over in December 2022.)

It fell to Yorkshire to nominate a school for the NCCU School Award, which option rotates round the counties from year to year.  The school nominated was Nafferton Primary School, and this nomination was in time approved.
