Woodhouse Cup
This was contested between seven teams, each team playing each other once.
I. M. Brown Shield
This was contested between eight teams, in two regional sections, “West” and “East”, with a play-off between section winners, to determine the overall winner.
There were five teams in the “West” section, each playing each other twice, home and away, except that Sheffield and Dewbury played a single match (won by Sheffield) for double points.
There were only three teams in the “East” section, each playing each other twice, home and away.
The first play-off match was drawn, but Goole won the he replay match, as follows:
